Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT)

What most resonated with me in this class is the amount of information that is very beneficial to parents. The different topics and subjects covered helped me gain a better understanding of autism. I also found that the interaction with other peers that are either parents of autistic children or teachers, sometimes both,  has given me a new way on how to view things. It helped me gain a different perspective on what they face as educators. I was also very grateful to have been introduced to a different EBP, resulting in more search and a decision to pursue certifications in PRT. I was happy to find out that PRT is an evidence-based practice which uses naturalistic ways as well the child's preferred activities to help with core skills such as language and socialization.
