Domain 5: Collaboration

Overview


The primary focus of this domain is on fostering collaboration to support learners with ASD through cooperative decision-making and planning tailored to their unique needs. I have selected seven artifacts, each representing a specific competency, to demonstrate my ability to work nonjudgmentally with families, professionals, and organizations. These artifacts highlight efforts to respect family culture and values, connect stakeholders with resources, and plan transitions that promote community participation and long-term success.

5.1 Work cooperatively with services, networks, and organizations for individuals, professionals, and families with ASD.


I learned the importance of collaboration in supporting individuals with ASD by working with families, professionals, and organizations to make informed decisions. This insight highlighted the need to respect family cultures and values while promoting transitions that foster independence and community participation.
